About the webmaster

This all started as an experiment

I have working to learn more about web development and how to use JavaScript on front-end design but I haven’t been able to find a good excuse to spend large portions of time on learning it. I decided to grab some Lorem Ipsum and build a layout for it, but that quickly turned into me writing a series of posts to make the project more complicated and to better understand the coding required to support such a project. I now use Jekyll to build the site and deploy it through git to GitHub Pages.

I used to write a blog when I was younger and far more obnoxious. I didn’t realize how cruel and critical I was when I wrote posts, but people who were more mature about things helped me understand the consequences of my actions and taught me to be better.

This blog is not an attempt to replicate those mistakes. I’m trying very hard to learn and be better, especially now that I definitely have no excuse of age or inexperience to mask my incompetence. I’m a much different person than I was then (or so I hope and aim to be), but I always welcome the reader’s input on where I went wrong and how I can act better.

Personality Profiles

I know some of these are dubious in their quality, but there is something appealing to me about being able to link someone to a distillation of who I am and how I see things. People can have such widely varied worldviews that I think it’s helpful to share them early, perhaps so others can use these results as a way to dismiss my viewpoints in a succinct and time-efficient manner.
